He beat Nick the Greek Dandolos out of a lot of money in a poker game. Later, the Chicago Outfit’s man in Vegas, Marshall Caifano, went to Ryan and threatened to expose him as a cheat in this game unless Ryan paid him off to keep his mouth shut. Ryan refused and ended up testifying against Caifano. At trial, a jury convicted Caifano and sentenced him to ten years. Thirteen years after the trial, on October 18, 1977, Raymond Ryan worked out in his exercise club in Evansville, Indiana, left, entered his Lincoln Continental Mark IV, and died from a bomb rigged to the car. I suspect Caifano, what do you think?
