| 0:47.3 | This is why mindfulness is invaluable, is to really know oneself as well as possible, |

| 0:58.3 | all that begins to be gathered together in a certain kind of way in which the inner life |
| 1:04.0 | gets organized or oriented. And then to create the attentional space, |

| 1:18.6 | it's helpful to have a form of attention to what's happening in the present |
| 1:26.6 | that has a lightness to it or openness to it |
| 1:30.2 | or non-straining, non-forcefulness |
| 1:33.7 | at the same time as not being casual or laxidaisical. |
| 1:40.1 | And then yesterday the emphasis that samadhi |
| 1:43.0 | is really a stepping away from life as it's |
| 1:50.2 | ordinary lived, ordinarily concerns, thoughts and activities, and even feelings. |
| 1:56.6 | Not to push anything away, but as deliberately stepping away as going into a shower to clean oneself, |
| 2:09.5 | or going to the bathroom, or going to your bedroom to sleep at night. |
