I'm Mary McLean and I'm honored to guide you in a meditation today.

I'll be sharing a little insight with you about this week's important theme.

The theme is refresh your approach to life and as you start a brand new year,

your full of hopes and aspirations and this is a week to focus on different key areas of your life

and to refresh and breathe new vitality into several areas of your life.

In today's episode, you're going to be guided as you deepen your connection with others.

This was my main focus last year. I wanted to develop a deeper connection with my neighbors

and I also wanted to meet more people in my community.

I haven't lived in my community for very long and it was very successful.

I focused on it all year long and I regularly get together with my neighbors.

My word of the year last year was energy. I began to notice who really uplifted my energy and who seemed to plummet it.

Well, I decided to begin to pursue people who I didn't necessarily connect with right away

and those were people, a few neighbors in my neighborhood.

And I continued to wave and say hello to them and pretty soon we connected and we have a respect for each other.

So how about you?

Who is it that you might connect with even someone who is difficult?

It doesn't necessarily mean you must become the best of buddies with this person.

But how could you begin to coexist together in a way where there is more respect and more understanding?

This is so important especially these days.

So as you settle yourself down and get ready to meditate, I invite you to pause and reflect for a moment on who you might reach out to to connect with.

You might even think about five different people that you commit to to say hello.
