Hey everyone, it's K-Sunga here. I just want to let you know that we've launched a brand

0:07.0

new call and advice podcast called Dear Headspace. Each week the headspace teachers, along

0:14.6

with some amazing new friends, are answering your questions about relationships, work,

0:20.8

life, mindfulness, and just about everything else. It's so different from anything we've

0:27.5

ever created and we're so excited for you to hear it. Dear Headspace comes out every

0:33.2

Tuesday on the Headspace app and anywhere that you listen to podcasts. Thanks for listening.

Hello, it's Eve here and welcome to Radio Headspace and to Tuesday. So I don't know about

1:04.8

you but changes in the weather can really affect my mood. I'm based in Los Angeles now and

1:11.9

we are lucky enough to have sunny weather most of the time but before that I lived in the

UK most of my life in a somewhat less sunny Scotland so believe me I'm very used to cold

1:53.6

sky and the clouds are our thoughts, feelings and experiences. So we may naturally have a restless

2:00.9

mind or frequently feel frustrated, irritated or critical and we might mistakenly believe that

2:07.8

this is who we are or this is just how our mind is. But this really forgets that thoughts and feelings

2:14.8

are simply on the surface of the mind. Needless to say my mind during that storm was subdued

2:21.7

and all the rain got me thinking about home. The fact that I haven't seen my family and many of

2:27.5

my friends for over a year and I know a lot of people are in that same situation. You know I'm

2:33.7

missing human contact and it really highlighted some of the challenges that I'm facing that we're

2:39.4

all facing and in these gloomy moments it can very often feel like the storm will never end
