Hi everyone, my name is Eve and welcome to Radio Headspace and to a new week. I don't know

about you, but the days are really just rolling into each other. But my calendar says it's Monday,

so it's Monday. I work here at Headspace really closely with Andy. In fact, he's been my teacher

ever since I started meditating about nine years ago and I thought today I would talk about

dismissing things we have not tried and sometimes they can be small things like say a food you've

never eaten and other times it can be things that potentially might help us like say trying

a new exercise or maybe taking time to meditate. So I was chatting to one of my really good friends

who I met in London and we were reflecting on how much has changed in the 10 years that we've

been friends. So she's a relationship coach and I'm now a meditation teacher, but we met working

in advertising and our lives were very different. Is he when I met this friend in London, I was really

not in a good place. Stress and anxiety were completely consuming me. I was waking up most

nights, I was feeling like my head was going to explode most days and it was causing me to be

destructive to myself and ultimately those people around me. But I couldn't see a way to fix it

and I remember waking up one day and I had this huge rash over my neck, on my arms, my hands,

stress was quite literally causing my skin to rebel against me.

It was on or around that day that this friend that I was talking about sent me an article on meditation
