Do you find yourself lashing out more frequently these days? The pandemic has stretched on for more than a year likely leaving you feeling vulnerable and impatient for it to end. | 0:55.0 | And as you consider how you express yourself when you are feeling angry. |
| 1:04.0 | Know that sometimes anger can take patience. |
| 1:10.0 | Anger is an emotion that you throw out there that's outward and others notice it and feel it. |
| 1:23.0 | It's also an emotion that you can keep within yourself inward and others may not even have a hint that you are angry. |
| 1:35.0 | But when you do that your anger can fester. |
| 1:39.0 | And there's a difference between letting your anger fester and allowing yourself patience to express your anger. |
| 1:51.0 | In a way that's going to produce the results you seek. |
| 1:57.0 | Lao Tzu, the famous timeless Chinese philosopher, wrote this about anger. |
| 2:06.0 | He wrote, when anger rises, think of the consequences. |
| 2:12.0 | So when you notice your anger rising, |
| 2:17.0 | you might be perfectly justified in expressing your anger. |
| 2:22.0 | Notice what you are ready for so that your anger doesn't take you too far outside of yourself that it's difficult to think of anything else except for that anger to where it can become all consuming. |
| 2:43.0 | Likewise, take care of that when you hold your anger in. |
