| 0:15.0 | This week you are taking part in a mental strength boot camp. |
| 0:21.0 | And in each episode you're discovering a way to enhance your mental strength. |
| 0:29.0 | And in yesterday's episode you discovered how mental strength is a skill. |
| 0:36.0 | It's not something you're born with, so if you know someone who seems like they have a lot of mental strength, |
| 0:44.0 | they definitely were not born that way. |
| 0:47.0 | Mental strength is acquired through life experiences. |
| 0:52.0 | It's what you do with the experiences you have in your life that determines your mental strength. |
| 1:00.0 | So your second insight on day two of this series is to reframe stressors. |
| 1:12.0 | What I mean by reframing isn't to put a positive spin on something that is not necessarily how you truly feel. |
| 1:24.0 | Reframe stressful emotions such as fear in a way that allows you to still process your experience of fear while still empowering yourself. |
| 1:40.0 | So for example, if you're afraid you might recognize that this situation or something is causing you fear |
| 1:52.0 | and you have overcome many situations that were fearful. |
| 1:59.0 | Or let's say you're experiencing deep sadness or grief. |
| 2:06.0 | And you may not be able to change what may have happened. |
| 2:12.0 | But what you can remind yourself of is that even though you're experiencing sadness and grief, |
| 2:18.0 | you can still do something that allows yourself to experience joy or peace. |
| 2:26.0 | So you don't have to feel stuck in any one emotion. |
| 2:31.0 | And your challenge for this week is in fact to honor yourself. |
| 2:37.0 | So as you settle yourself down and get ready to meditate, making yourself nice and comfortable as always with a straight spine, |
| 2:48.0 | closing your eyes and gently elevating them upwards. |
