Hi, my name is Pete Scuzaro. I want to welcome you today to the Emotionally Healthy Leader

Podcast. Today, we're as a part four on six marks of a church culture that deeply changes lives.

And our theme is actually healthy communities. So we began by talking about what's,

is this thing called culture in a church or a community

that's healthy, have six characteristics. And we began with part one talking about a slow down

spirituality, that the culture itself has slowed down enough that people are being with Jesus

out of which they're doing for him.

They're not just simply cultural Christians doing programs, but they're actually seeking God for

themselves as a body, of course, beginning with us.

And secondly, we talked about in part two about integrity and leadership that those of us

who are carrying responsibilities in the community are actually living what we're preaching, we're modeling it,

because we understand that pretending or lying will simply reproduce that in those around us.

And then thirdly, we talked about a third mark of a culture that's deeply transforming people is a beneath the surface discipleship.

And we talked about that last week

in really four areas in particular, family of origin. We're getting into people's family of origin and cultures,

and doing work on that so they can get free from the destructive patterns of the past that are hindering the present,

brokenness and vulnerability, grief and loss limits. These become themes in a culture where people are being deeply transformed.

Now this week, we want to go into the fourth mark, which is a healthy community.

And then next week we'll go into passionate marriages and singleness and then every person

in full-time ministry.

Now, each of these six marks is vast, and of course, they overlap

with each other. So, for example, you need a slow-down spirituality for integrity and leadership
