0:55.9	on each of the topic. So today, let's go again, let's go into passionate marriages and
1:00.3	singleness. But before I expound on this theme, let me just read you the first paragraph from
1:06.0	the e-book on this theme. In a church culture that changes lives, the maturity of each person's marriage
1:13.5	or singleness is measured not simply by stability or commitment to Christ, but to the degree
1:20.6	by which each is becoming a living sign and wonder of God's love for the world. So measured not simply by stability or commitment
1:30.0	to Christ, but by the degree to which each is becoming a living sign and wonder of God's love
1:34.5	for the world. So let me begin with a bit of my story here. My first eight years of marriage,
1:40.2	I would consider unbalanced and a compartmentalized theology of marriage as it related to leadership in particular.
1:49.2	My theology was you seek first the kingdom of God and everything else would be added on to you.
1:53.3	It was Jim Elliott's expand the kingdom, global missions, fulfill the great commission, life and death is hanging in the balance,
2:01.7	double your ministry with the person you marry. But marriage is important, but it's not central, it's
2:08.6	kind of on the side. And if I seek first God's kingdom, a good marriage will naturally follow.
