In episode thirty-seven of The Running Effect (with Dominic Schlueter), I speak with the legend Chris Derrick. Chris is easily one of the most successful American distance runners. In high school, he ran 13:55 (in the 5k) and won NXN individually and as a team. In college, Chris ran for Stanford where he was a Fourteen-Time All-American and multi-time NCAA runner up. Chris still owns the American Collegiate NCAA 10k record. He most recently ran for Nike and the Bowerman Track Club where he accomplished many things on the track, grass, and roads.
In this episode, we dive deep into Chris's career from his big high school progression to running professionally for Nike and The Bowerman Track Club. We go into many of his races and get his thoughts and insights on various topics. Lastly, we go into his new blog and personal coaching.
