The name Cheer Smash kind of originated because the FDA requirement for gems and jellies is that

you have to contain at least 55% sugar to call your product to that. And because we don't have

any added sugar and very low natural sugar from the fruit and dates, we had to start brainstorming

some other options. And we used

chia seeds to help create the texture of the product. So they kind of help provide a little bit of

that thickness. And they're also super nutritious, a ton of great benefits. And so we were kind of

combining chia with various words and smash is a bit of a play on the

avocado smash from Australia and smashing up the fruit.
