Welcome to the Commune podcast. My name is Jeff Krasna. Today on the show, I welcome my friend Richard Green the civics dean. So Richard is a former attorney who left the practice of law to share his

communication expertise with presidents, prime ministers, senators, and political candidates of

all elks. His book, Words That Shook the World, 100 years of unforgettable speeches and events, is used in university

classrooms around the globe.

So in this episode, Richard administers his 2024 election civics challenge on me live.

That's right, right on the show.

Now, the challenge is a quiz that Richard developed to

educate the American people on how our elections work and motivate people to get involved and

vote. So we'll see how I do. Across the course of the quiz, Richard and I veer off into various

discussions regarding the health of our

Republic and the choices facing us this November. While the purpose of this episode is to educate

on the electoral process, Richard has very clear political biases, and these are unapologetically

on display. However, my goal here is that we learn something

about how our government functions. I've always felt that our individual and collective well-being

are inseparable. And this is why commune has invested in producing programs like how to run for office and citizen power among many others.
