| 0:32.4 | In today's episode, you're going to be guided using a breathing technique to help soothe and calm, |
| 0:41.2 | frazzled nerves, and also to support your nervous system. |
| 0:47.3 | I want to share with you some ways to help you cultivate a mindset where you feel empowered instead of fearful. |
| 0:57.5 | The National Science Foundation reported that we have about 1,000 thoughts an hour. |
| 1:07.3 | So if you think about 1,000 thoughts an hour, think about how many thoughts per hour these days, |
| 1:17.0 | you may be experiencing fear and uncertainty and not feeling so safe in the world. |
| 1:23.6 | A lot of our thoughts are fueled by what we take in from our surroundings, especially the news. |
| 1:32.6 | So take care of what you expose yourself to. |
| 1:36.6 | There are going to be bad things happening around the world at any given point in time. |
| 1:43.1 | But there are also wonderful, peaceful things happening around the world as well. |
| 1:50.1 | So make sure that your fearful thoughts don't take over your thoughts of feeling happy and secure. |
| 2:00.4 | So feel more grounded in yourself by changing your thoughts. |
| 2:07.2 | Also, the breathing technique I'm going to share with you today is a powerful way to help calm your nervous system |
| 2:16.5 | so that it helps to calm your thoughts. |
| 2:21.2 | A lot of times when we're doing these meditation techniques, we often do them without really thinking about what they're actually doing for you. |
| 2:33.5 | So when you do today's breathing technique consciously become aware of how you feel in your body |
| 2:41.1 | and also the kind of thoughts you're thinking as you do the breathing technique. |
