Hello and welcome to episode 1,481. We're inching up to 2,000 meditations. I'm honored

0:12.4

you're here. I'm Mary Mechley and I am excited to share with you an affirmation to trust

0:20.8

yourself today. And this is an affirmation you can do as you settle yourself down to meditate.

0:30.7

Well, now let's get started with the affirmation for today that you may want to carry into your day

0:38.3

and into your own meditation. And I want to share with you a little inspiration on trusting yourself

0:48.4

as you consider trusting yourself, following your intuition. A lot of this has to do with

0:56.4

being in touch with your feelings. And when you can regularly tap into how you're feeling,

1:08.8

this becomes a barometer as to how you should honor yourself. So when you notice how you're feeling

1:22.9

and you begin to respond to yourself. So for example, if you're feeling a little stressed and you

1:29.1

think, okay, you know, this situation or this person is creating some feelings of stress for me.

1:43.5

And so what I'm going to do is avoid this person or situation if you can. Or that's not always

1:52.4

possible. So you could do an affirmation such as I'll share with you today or you could do a

2:00.0

breathing technique or a mudra or any number of techniques that will help you to be able to

2:11.4

honor the stress you're experiencing. Not to feel as though you have to cover it up or just

2:18.9

deal with it. But really put yourself in a situation where you think, oh, that's okay because

2:24.7

this breathing technique is really going to make me feel better. Or today I'm going to work out.

2:33.5

I'm going to exercise and I'll be feeling great and strong. So if I'm going through this

2:42.4

stressful situation, I have a way to relieve it afterwards. So when you begin to give yourself

2:50.8

this kind of self-talk, you start to honor yourself. And when you begin to honor yourself,

2:58.8

you begin to trust yourself. It's the same as when someone honors you, you begin to trust them.

3:07.5

But without that honor and respect, it's really difficult to trust another person or to trust yourself.

3:20.2

So you may look for things outside of yourself, not techniques that are beneficial, but rather
