| 0:00.0 | Welcome to episode 2,989 of the Daily Meditation Podcast. I'm Mary Meckley and I |
| 0:10.7 | welcome you to day three of the series we're exploring this week. |
| 0:16.0 | This week the theme is how to start your day and how you start your day can define the whole rest of your day. |
| 0:26.0 | It's like a blueprint for your day and think about how when you start your day each and every morning you could consider as how you live your life. |
| 0:39.2 | Now what I mean by this is that your ritual that you commit to doing day in, day out, year after year, |
| 0:50.0 | help define how you live your life. |
| 0:54.0 | So when you think about this time you spend as you start your day, |
| 0:59.0 | think about how consciously engaged you are in this process. So if you start your day and I |
| 1:07.5 | know for many of you you already have some excellent rituals here you are |
| 1:12.0 | meditating so you likely have a meditation ritual. |
| 1:16.1 | Maybe you don't do it to start your day, maybe you do it to end your day, which |
| 1:20.3 | actually is also vitally important as a blueprint for your life. |
| 1:26.0 | But many of you, I know, start your day with movement with some kind of physical exercise or journaling or something else that allows you to pause |
| 1:39.5 | and reflect before the energies of the day set in. Now if you do not have rituals that you do in the morning, |
| 1:48.0 | think about a ritual you could do, and that is actually your challenge this week. It is to allow |
| 1:56.2 | yourself a little extra time in the morning and you are encouraged to wake up at least 15 minutes before your normal wake-up time |
| 2:08.0 | to allow yourself to do even a mini ritual. |
| 2:12.0 | If you could wake up half an hour and then work up to waking up an hour |
| 2:18.4 | early so that you have plenty of time to do a ritual or two or maybe even three rituals during that hour. |
| 2:27.2 | You are likely going to discover that you're more grounded throughout your day. So think of your ritual as a blueprint for your day. |
| 2:37.0 | Now what I want to share with you as your insight for today and then you'll be guided as always in a meditation and your |
| 2:47.0 | technique for today is a breathing technique. Breathing techniques are one of the most powerful techniques. |
