As the family walks by, you know, they don't even know who he is.

A father rushed into action after a man tried to kidnap his child from a stroller while

they shopped at an Oregon Walmart a few days before Christmas.

The encounter unfolded shortly before 8 p.m. December 21st inside the store, about 25 miles west of Portland,

where deputies say the suspect focused on the family as they moved through the aisles.

As the man reached for the child, the father intervened, blocking the attempt and grappling with the would-be kidnapper as the situation escalated.
