My name's Chloe Thomas.

I serve in our young adults ministry and also, thank you, and also in our Livewell lunch

ministry with the senior adults.

And there was a time in my life where I was dead in my sins and trespasses, but God being merciful

saved me at an early age and opened my eyes to the need of a savior.

And since then, I've been able to, by his grace, walk faithfully with him ever since.

Today's passage is Acts 16 versus 11 through 15.

From Troas, we put out to sea and sailed straight for Samothrace, the next day to Neapolis, and from there to Philippi, a Roman colony and a leading city of the district of

Macedonia.

We stayed in that city for several

days. On the Sabbath day, we went outside the city gate by the river where we expected to find a place

of prayer. We sat down and spoke to the women gathered there. A God-fearing woman named Lydia,

a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thiatira, was listening. The Lord opened her heart to respond to what

Paul was saying. After she and her household were baptized, she urged us. If you consider me a believer in the

Lord, come and stay at my house and she persuaded us. This is the word of the Lord.

Well, good morning. If you have your Bibles, please grab them them i just had her read five of the verses out of

act 16 but we're going to cover that chapter uh this is week two uh of what's just been a small series

on joining the mission of god uh and so jesus came to save sinners that's not We didn't write that lyric. It's in the Bible.

And so God has invited us, our stories, our gift sets, our personalities, uniquely placed us and
