Good morning, church.

My name is Peyton Hannah, and I get to serve here as the young adult minister at TVC.

There was a time in my life when I was aimlessly searching for meaning and I was exhausted from always trying to prove and impress but God and his grace brought me to the truth of his word and now my security my purpose are found in the accomplished work of Christ alone.

Our passage this morning is going to be Mark 16, verses 2 through 7.

It says this, very early in the morning on the first day of the week, they went to the tomb at sunrise.

They were saying to one another, who will roll away the week, they went to the tomb at sunrise. They were saying to one another,

who will roll away the stone from the entrance to the tomb for us? Looking up, they noticed at the

stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. When they entered the tomb, they saw a young

man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side. They were alarmed. Don't be alarmed, he told them.

You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who is crucified. He has risen. He's not here. See the place

where they put him. But go, tell his disciples in Peter, he is going ahead of you to Galilee.

You will see him there just as he told you.

This is the word of the Lord.

Well, good morning. It's really good to see you. I wanted to make sure that we read the resurrection story since it is resurrection Sunday. But I'm going to be preaching out of Colossians 3, 1 through 4. And so if you have your Bibles, that will be our passage. If you don't have a Bible with you, there's a hardback black one somewhere under the chair in front of you. You don't own one. That's our

gift to you. Feel free to take that. If you would like a nicer one this Easter, just stop by the

lost and found on your way out. Many nice Bibles in there, maybe even find your own. Easter is always a bit

of a weird weekend to preach.
