Hi, my name is Pete Scazzaro. I want to welcome you today to the emotionally healthy leader

podcast. So great to be with you. Our title today is being surprised by God in places you least

expect. Being surprised by God in places you least expect. And my comment's actually going to be

coming out of Ezekiel chapter one. Now,

this last year has taken all of us into places we have least expected. In fact, we last night,

we celebrated my son-in-law's birthday here at our home and were reflecting on highlights of his

past year,

and which was so interesting because it was really

last February, 14 and 15th of last year,

because what happened in March was the pandemic hit in full swing.

And we just reflected together,

who would have ever imagined what this past year has unleashed?

You know, from the global pandemic and, oh, my gosh,

all the implications of that, which continue to this day, the implications of the church,

church is closing or having to limit their services and being rocked in ways that were simply

unimaginable well over a year ago. And then, of course, the economy, and then the Black Lives, a Matter, protests that really

exploded after the death of George Floyd.

And then on top of that, the election here in the United States and all that went around

around that.

And the list can go on.

And I'm sure you could add your country's

items to that as well. So the last two weeks, we've been talking about how grieving the pandemic
