Greetings, it's Wednesday, my name is K-Songa and welcome to Radio Headspace.

For today's episode, I wanted to continue my new series called Mindful Moments, where

So for today's episode, the mindful moment that I'd like to share pertains to the majestic

Caribbean.

The Caribbean in general holds a special place in my heart, mainly because both of my parents

are from there.

My father's side is from Cuba and Jamaica, and my mother's side is from Antigua, Barbuda.

And so it was the summer of 2008 when my Caribbean mindful moment occurred.

I was on a family vacation to Antigua and Barbuda, and I will never forget what a beautifully,

fantastic trip that was.

It was a pretty big deal of a trip because in addition to my immediate family attending,

which at the time was my three-year-old daughter and my wife.

My brother was also present with his wife.

My parents were there, and my aunt and my cousins were also in attendance.

This was the first vacation we had taken as one big family since I was a little kid.

Probably the fondest memory I have of that Caribbean trip is the moment we actually made
