Hello, hello everyone and welcome to Radio Headspace.

My name is Kaisonga and it's a glorious Tuesday.

I wanted to use this Tuesday as an opportunity to introduce a new series I'll be doing

called Mindful Moments.

For me, a mindful moment is a moment where your mind, emotions and body are in synchrony with each other.

And for sure they can involve the full spectrum of stressful moments and also joyous ones.

For the purpose of these episodes I'll be focusing on positive mindful moments,

those moments in life where we're happy and content,

a moment where we have a sense of well-being and peace.

And this mindful moment can be connected to a specific situation or event,

a person that evokes this feeling or a place that makes us feel this way.

The possibilities are really endless.

So again, I welcome you to my first installment of Mindful Moments.

I call it, old to the night.

I love the nighttime.

When that sun starts to set, my entire being starts to come alive.

My brain wakes up, my body feels energized and I'm just ready to go.

I've always been this way.

I distinctly remember as a kid waking up in the middle of the night,

maybe around 1 or 2 a.m., going to my bedroom window and just staring out into the night sky.

We lived in Castle Hill projects in the Bronx.
