Welcome back to another Dear Shandy Bachelor Recap listeners. Hello, Andy. How are you today?

I'm doing just fine. Just fine. Yeah, I'm doing just

fine myself. Is that good or is that above average? I think just fine is pretty good. If it's

just fine, then it's right. It's all about the pause between the just and the fine. Yeah,

but if it's just fine, yeah. And you want to know why I'm just fine? Because I liked episode too.

Me too. It's the opposite of the sophomore jinks with this show, because usually the first episode I find is not that great. And that's the way it should be. You should always start a little light. You don't want to go in too heavy because then you have a lot to live up to. And I have to admit, when I start a new show,

I never gauge my opinion on it solely on the pilot episode. Oh, you can't do that. So shall we get

going, recapping episode two, Andy? Let's do it. Okay, the episode opens with a cold open of Lauren and Joey

and Lauren throwing her cake on the ground. But I wanted to address this because

apparently some shandies, I don't know if they're true shandies, they were very upset that we didn't

talk about the cold open last week, but we don't talk about cold opens. We don't do cold opens.

Well, what I like to do is recap the content of this show. I don't like to guess or speculate

what something means, especially when that

thing that we're being shown is designed to mislead us 99% of the time. If they really wanted

to give away something with that cold open, they would ruin the show. 100%. They're trying to

mislead you. So why should we recap a mislead? The best thing to do about a mislead is to ignore it in general in life. Yeah, they're trying to like hook you and also mislead you at the same time. It's just not really our thing. I'm sure that's probably a fun activity to do with friends, but we're not doing that here. Sorry. Okay, moving on. Not talking about the cold open. Oh, we've talked about the cold open now, a lot. We talked about why we don't like cold opens.

But we've talked more about not liking the cold open than we would have talked about just the cold open. So maybe we should talk about the cold open. So we open with Joey training Jesse and tennis. And we were a little concerned here. I thought there were going to be like 30 tennises. Oh, yeah. this episode. We do get Word Watch 1 here with Jesse saying, if you navigate this as well as you teach tennis,

you'll find your person.

The ladies move into the mansion and Jesse arrives to chat with them.

And here we learn that Lauren and Allison, sisters, have actually kind of sort of dated the same guy,
