I can't actually believe I have been back with you for a month, which means today is actually my last day for a few months.

As always, I have loved every minute with you and it got me thinking about journeys.

We've been on this journey together and really life is made up of a series of many journeys.

When I was growing up, we lived in the west coast of Scotland in a pretty remote part of the country and it inevitably meant long car journeys.

There was one particular journey we would do at least once a month down to Glasgow, which was about a two and a half hour drive.

It's a really beautiful drive all the way down the coast and up into the hills as you then make the descent down to Loch Lomond, which was a sign you were getting closer to Glasgow.

Almost always, whenever we were driving down with my parents, it wouldn't take too long for either me or my twin sister to say,

are we nearly there yet? We both knew the drive so well, but it still wouldn't stop the anticipation.

And something tells me that this is a phrase many of us have probably uttered at some point in our lives.

As human beings, we have a tendency to get caught up in the future.

We can become very distracted with the destination, whether that is a physical journey like in a car or say an aeroplane.

But we can equally become caught up when it comes to our jobs, our relationships, perhaps even where we live.
