Hey guys, it's Rachel and this is a quick word on hard seasons.

Something occurred to me the other day and I was like, I got to share that with the listeners.

That hard seasons feel like they drag on forever.

I don't know if you can relate to this, but when I've been inside of a truly difficult

time period, when you're in it, it feels like it's unending.

It feels like it gets worse not better.

It feels like maybe it improves in small ways, but then it has these lingering ghosts of

Christmas past that keep haunting you and keep reminding you of the hard season that you've

been in.

I was sitting with that because I thought, man, I just, why does it have to feel so hard

and why does it have to take so long?

If I've set an intention to make my life better or to get past this trauma or to move on

from these experiences, why does it feel like it keeps sticking around?

That's the big question.

What I've come to understand is that it sticks around because there's something inside

of me that is unable to resolve it.

I learn this lesson again and again and again that I can point my finger at other people

and go, like, why do they have to be me and why do they have to be this way or why do

they, they, they.

The reality is life is only difficult when I haven't moved past the attachment I have

to that difficult thing, which sounds a little bonkers because a younger version of me

would never have believed that I could stay attached to negativity.
