Al-Qaeda, in the 21st century, Here's John Bachelor. Al Qaeda.

In the 21st century, Al Qaeda represents the senior position for jihadists.

However, over these last years, different administrations have produced information that Al Qaeda is reduced on the way

to extinction no longer exists, no longer bites.

However, I welcome Bill Rachio, a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy,

to report on a fresh al-Qaeda matter detail, significant detail, that is not about Afghanistan.

It's something called Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, once upon a time shortened to

AQAP, responsible for some of the more creative

and potentially devastating attacks that did not happen and did happen

once upon a time.

Al-Qaeda has established years ago.

This was in the mid to late 2000s. They established what we here in the West call their branches or

their affiliates, but what Al Qaeda calls their theaters. These individual groups,

there's Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which of course is Yemen and Saudi Arabia and UAE and other of the Emirates etc.

There's Al Qaeda in the Islamic McGrath, which is essentially North Africa,
