I'm Mary Meckley and I honor you for giving yourself permission to slow down. In today's

0:20.0

episode we continue with our self-care journey, showing gratitude and appreciation to yourself

0:30.9

for all you are and you will discover an affirmation you can repeat as you meditate.

0:47.1

And I encourage you to repeat the affirmation when you wake up in the morning before you start your day and as you go to bed as you end your day, any time you repeat an affirmation is the right time. but morning and evening are the best times to really focus on the intention of the affirmation.

1:17.1

So in the morning when you wake up,

1:19.9

your mind is not usually cluttered with the different cares of the day and in the evening

there's a difference between feeling confident or proud and feeling

2:50.6

grateful or appreciative.

2:55.0

For example, when you're feeling proud or confident,

3:02.0

you are likely sizing yourself up, comparing yourself to some standard.

3:10.8

You might think I am so good at completing projects on time. I rarely procrastinate or I'm a great cook or I'm a great friend or parent.

3:30.6

But when you feel gratitude, you're simply appreciating a particular quality, so you might think,

3:40.0

I'm so grateful that I have a project to work on and that I'm able to focus.

3:49.0

Or I am so appreciative of my family and loved ones in my life.

3:59.0

So as you repeat the affirmation today and as you go into your meditation, focus on the ways that you feel as though you are enough exactly as you are.
