to talk about loss, but in particular the southern loss of a loved one. And I know this is

a difficult topic to talk about, but I bring it up for that reason as I think we need

to be better at talking about it, particularly here in the West. Talking about loss and

death is not something we're really taught about growing up or at least in my experience

it wasn't. You know, I knew it happened of course, but I was very young when I lost my

grandparents and it wasn't until many years later as an adult that I truly felt the experience

of sudden loss when my dad died of a huge heart attack almost three years ago. One moment

he was there and the next he wasn't. And he had no pre-existing heart issues or health

issues. His time was just up. And right now so many people all over the world are experiencing

sudden loss. A lot of that is through COVID and a lot will also be down to terrible accidents

or like my dad a huge sudden failure of the body. And when it happens, the ground you

walk on just falls out beneath you. You know, how could someone you thought be 100% fine

one moment and the next just gone. I'll never forget waking up to the message from my

mum saying, please call it's urgent with about 20 miss calls. When you get a message

like that, you know whatever is on the other end is just not going to be good. A million
