| 0:00.0 | This is episode 983. Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast. I honor you for giving |
| 0:10.1 | yourself permission to slow down and connect to the best part of who you are. |
| 0:19.2 | In today's episode you're going to be discovering an affirmation for our theme this week, which is love. |
| 0:28.7 | This is Valentine's Weekend in the United States, or rather Valentine's Week and I thought this was a |
| 0:36.5 | great time to do a love theme but I also wanted to do a love theme as well because |
| 0:42.1 | I received lots of messages about how many people are |
| 0:48.3 | deciding to even start a meditation ritual because they've been hurt by a situation that has to do with a |
| 1:00.7 | loved one, especially a romantic relationship. |
| 1:07.0 | And these can be some of the most difficult relationships to manage. |
| 1:13.4 | And so when you think about your own romantic relationships, |
| 1:20.7 | I encourage you, as we explored in yesterday's meditation to think about three different scenarios |
| 1:31.4 | where you would be happy in love. |
| 1:35.0 | Now, these might be scenarios where you're with your current love interest, maybe a partner or spouse, or this might be not even a |
| 1:49.4 | love interest, it could just be ways that you want to feel loved. You don't always need a romantic interest to feel loved. |
| 1:59.0 | So you think about your own life and when you consider love, think about three different scenarios |
| 2:10.8 | where you could experience love in different ways. |
| 2:16.7 | And this is a great technique to do, |
| 2:19.6 | a little exercise to do because studies have shown that when you focus on different scenarios, this |
| 2:30.2 | helps you to realize that you can be open to a lot of different things and still be happy. |
| 2:41.1 | And in yesterday's episode, I mentioned how people were interviewed at 10-year intervals and they |
| 2:49.4 | were asked, how do you think you're going to be or how do you think you're going to feel in 10 years? |
| 2:57.0 | Most people were certain they wouldn't be that different. |
