Hi this is Steve. In a few weeks YouTube will premiere their new series

Cobra Kai based on the 1984 classic The Krotikid. Now I have a feeling that I'm

either going to love that show or absolutely hate it because the truth is the original Karate kid is very special to me.

It's so special in fact that I was super nervous when I showed it to my six-year-old son last week.

He thought the trailer looked boring, and what he really wanted to watch was some cartoons. But I

insisted and after a small family argument we finally convinced him to sit down and

After about 15 minutes, he was hooked,

and by the end of the film, he was practicing wax on,

is one of the great films of the 80s and probably put more kids in martial arts classes than Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris combined.
