Thank you. live a purposeful and fulfilling life. Let's go. All right. Welcome to episode 803. Hello, my friend. Welcome to a fresh new episode of New Mindset, Who, this, as always, thank you so much for listening. Thank you for supporting me. And today, I want to talk about one thing in particular, and that is about making decisions. My theory in all this is decisions are not forks in the road. It's not either left or right and then either left or right

1:13.5

is gone as a result of the decision. And I'll drill down on what this means in just a second,

1:17.7

but like this is the advice I wish I could have given my younger self that is to make faster

1:22.7

decisions, not rash ones, but faster. Don't overthink it because you think that decisions are fork in the road.

1:29.9

But to this idea, it's the old fork in the road, right? Decisions feel this way because we kind of in a

1:36.7

sense have been taught or conditioned to freeze in front of the decisions we have to make.

1:42.0

We treat decisions like these big defining moments where

1:45.4

everything is on the line because we have two options. Case, you have two options. You can go left,

1:51.3

you can go right, you can stay, you can go, it's this or it's that. And in our minds, one of them

1:57.6

is correct and the other one ruins everything if you choose it and that's why we

2:02.3

stall and that's why we overthink and we sit there and we try to think our way into certainty.

2:08.4

We replay all the possible outcomes.

2:10.6

We try to predict what will be right for me six months from now or a year from now and we sit

2:16.7

and we sit and we sit.

2:18.4

But the longer we do, the more the decision starts to feel even heavier it feels less like a choice that we are

2:25.1

going to make and more like a verdict on what's to come when you make it but when i think about

2:30.6

decisions that's not actually what's happening it It's not a fork in the road.

2:34.5

Life doesn't split like this, right?
