As always, thank you so much for listening. Thank you for supporting me. And today, I want to throw a crazy idea out there. That is, I think you should take your joy more seriously. And this is a little bit personal for me because I always used to, and maybe you can relate, I always used to think,

and I still do in an extent, that, you know, joy is something you earn. And like the most practical way, almost like a contractual way. Like you work first, you prove yourself first,

you endure what you need to endure. And then if you're lucky, you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Joy is like the exhale at the end of a lot of suffering. And it's the reward for being serious

and disciplined and all these things. And in a sense, because I've kind of engineered my life

around this idea, as many of us have as well, around what makes

sense.

Like, I trusted that, you know, what felt hard is hard because it's legitimate.

I felt that, you know, what is structured is structured because it's safe.

I trusted that, you know, I could explain this thing to other people and they got it,

and therefore it makes sense. But the things, on the other hand, that lit me up, you know,

the crazy ideas, the things that I gravitated towards the music, the art, these things,

I treated those as secondary things in my life. They're not instructive. They're

interesting for sure, but they're secondary. Certainly, they're not a thing to build your life

around because they're too light. They're too light. And I've realized that I think we're kind

of all taught this. Like we're taught repeatedly not to trust the lightness in our life because

lightness, joy, is delight is not serious. It's like indulgent. Like, it's something that you

can indulge in after you've done the hard work. So as a result, we push it to the edge of our
