Hi this is Steve. We've talked about a lot of great films on the Cenophiles, but nothing was quite as intimidating as breaking down Citizen Kane.

There's so much to talk about in every shot and so much to learn from his use of deep focus, composite shots and special effects

to the unique structure of the film, the incredible dialogue, the beautiful sound design,

haunting score, and at the heart of it all is the towering

compelling and contradictory character of Kane portrayed in what can only be

described as a tour to force performance by the 24-year-old Orson Wells.

There's so much to talk about in fact that John and I couldn't fit it all into one episode,
