And today, I want to talk about what it actually means to miss someone, to have been in a relationship with someone, maybe for six months, maybe for three years.

And to have that relationship end.

And there you are. You're strong.

You're resilient. You're hopeful, but you're also human. And a part of you misses that person.

Maybe a big part of you misses that person. Rightfully so. You know, maybe you can relate to this.

Maybe you're sitting there and you're like, man, that breakup did have to happen. I'm glad it happened.

I needed it to happen. But a part of me still misses them. Maybe even you had like a relationship that you would say was toxic, that word. And you're very aware it was the wrong person and the wrong dynamic. But a part of you still misses them. And you're like, what is wrong with me? Why do I miss this person?

And regardless of the dynamic, you can relate to this.

In your mind, in your heart, you still kind of miss them.

Or at minimum, at very minimum, you can look back at them with this sense of nostalgia that we generally like convert nostalgia into sadness.

And we're left being like, man, why do I miss this person?

So I want to help answer the question.

Question, what does it mean to miss someone?

I think it's an important question and it's one worth examining because in my experience,

the answer is not the obvious one.
