Summary

Our exploration of the world of Romance continues with David Lean's classic tale of unrequited love, Brief Encounter. This very British film, tells the story of two happily married strangers who find true love in a chance encounter at railway station. If they were less honorable people things might have gone very differently but the, fact is, they both care about their spouses, their families and the lives they've built. Watching them struggle with their passions is one of the most romantic and tragic stories ever put on film.

Yeah this is one of those episodes where you know one of us goes on a journey with a film that we may not

100% like or initially enjoy and the conversation unlock some things about the film that allows the other one to

0:49.3

reappreciate it or enjoy it or at least give it a little more space to be enjoyed and that certainly

1:30.0

They do express how they feel about each other, but the world will not allow this relationship to happen because they're both good people and like they're both married to good people and they can't they simply can't consummate the love that they both acknowledge they have.
