Welcome to the daily meditation podcast. I'm Mary Meckley and I'm a meditation teacher who

This is such a big challenge for people when they meditate, whether you're a beginning

meditator or a long time meditator. In fact, it's one of the biggest challenges people

experience when they meditate. And so you'll be learning meditation techniques, a new one each day, to help you slow down

and to allow your thoughts to settle so you can focus on what's most important to you and just enjoy

Go ahead and get nice and settled in your meditation space.

Sit up straight, straighten your spine.

Relax your body in areas where you're likely to hold tension.

And you might want to prop up a few pillows under your legs,

and especially if you're seated on the floor.

This will help to cushion the pressure points
