| 0:33.6 | leaving the cares, the distractions, all those thoughts that run through your head day in |
| 0:42.2 | and day out, letting go of that as you meditate and reach into your own inner stillness. |

| 0:57.0 | And it can take a little time sometimes to reach that when you meditate. |
| 1:04.0 | Whether you're a long time meditator or brand new to meditation, |
| 1:09.0 | stillness doesn't always come easily or even so naturally. |
| 1:15.0 | So when you sit down to meditate consistently, even for a few minutes at a time, you begin to train your brain. Literally, you create new neural pathways on the prefrontal part of your brain |
| 1:36.1 | that helps you to manage stress so much better. That's the part that's activated. The more you develop it, the more you meditate. |
| 1:47.9 | And you'll find that, of course, you still experience stress and the whole range of human emotions we all experience. |
| 1:58.5 | But you notice that with meditators, meditators will respond much better |
| 2:06.6 | and their time spent in an emotion that's really dragging them down such as anger, fear, |
| 2:15.6 | frustration, distraction, the time they spend with that |
| 2:20.3 | emotion is less because you get better and better at refocusing your thoughts. So in today's |
| 2:28.3 | episode, which is episode 662, our meditation theme, we explore a different meditation theme every single week. |

| 2:49.0 | And I share with you my own personal blueprint to provide me with this peace, |
