Thank you for supporting me and today I want to talk about closure.

It's something you know that frankly we all crave in life at one point or another.

It's something we think we need. It's a requirement to move on to make sense of the

world and it's a funny word too right like closure Like closure. We think closure is a noun, it's a thing, it's something we can define, something that we can get or we even need from someone else a conversation with them an apology some kind of

acknowledgement that we mattered and they were wrong or something like that whatever but

we think it's something that is tangible.

But the truth is, someone else, of course, cannot give you closure because closure

isn't a door that they have a key to.

It's not an answer that they can give you. If you rely on someone else to make sense of a chapter ending, a breakup,

you're only prolonging your pain and your confusion, you're giving someone else control over your healing,

when healing is something that only can happen within you.

And it's this idea that I find a lot of clarity in, namely that giving yourself closure is about reclaiming the power that you've

subconsciously handed over to someone else. That is what closure is, reclaiming your power.

It's not an answer, it's not a noun,

and it's not clarity of having all the dots connected looking back.

It's not a sudden surge of clarity that came from a conversation with someone or you know finally realizing
