Summary
Be guided in a meditation based on the classic book, Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, who was a Roman emperor who ruled from 161-180 A.D. You'll be guided in a meditation on a reflection from his book. His reflections are based on Stoic philosophy which emphasizes living a peaceful life by practicing self control to attain inner peace by overcoming adversity, and honoring your true nature -- not forcing yourself to be a particular way. This is so aligned with how I share meditation so I'm excited about this week's series. This is part 1 of a 7-Part Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Episodes 604-610. As always, you don't have to do the meditation techniques -- they are simply there to help you transition from your busy day to a state of stillness. The techniques also help to calm "monkey mind," when your thoughts continuously interrupt your meditation.
