Luke writes to help us understand Jesus and His Father—their characteristics, their words, and their priorities. Luke wants us to know what causes their presence in our lives to increase and decrease. This is vital information for a Jesus-follower so that we can live in a way that is pleasing to Him and accomplish the purposes for which we have been created. Luke teaches us that God is kind and merciful, He bestows His power upon us so that we can complete His assignments, and He wants us to live today with our eyes focused on eternity. Pastor Allen Jackson closes with a reminder that we should learn to listen with not only our ears, but our hearts, because that is where we will hear the things of God.
