Summary

Joel Finkelstein discusses how the New York election of socialist Zohran Mamdani was influenced by "subnationalism," where foreign nations subvert democracy. Organizations associated with Islamist Maoist ideals and CCP assets (like Neville Roy Singham, who bankrolled a campaign hub) were central to mobilizing votes. On social media, especially Instagram and TikTok, content favorable to Mamdani was given "engineered virality," with over 50% of viral engagement coming from non-American users, suggesting organized foreign intercession.

Good evening. Good evening, John. It's good to be back. Look, I don't think this is just a question of what happened online, although that's certainly a large and considerable component of Sarnemam Dani's victory in New York. I think the way to think about what's happened in New York in general is something that I think leans closer towards a concept

1:11.5

called subnationalism. Subnationalism is when foreign nations subvert the institutions of

democracy, its apparatuses, its corporations, its 501c3 systems, its voting powers, and they

implement their agenda beneath the surface in ways that allow them to
