Summary

Be guided in a meditation to explore your faith -- the cornerstone quality of your life. Is your faith really a virtue? Or could it be holding you back? Could how you allow faith to show up in your life even be dangerous for you or others? Every day this week you will focus on a meditation technique to cultivate faith in a beautiful way. I challenge you to a week long Faith Meditation Challenge this week. This is part 1 of a 7-Part Meditations on Faith, Episodes 549-555. As always, you don't have to do the meditation techniques -- they are simply there to help you transition from your busy day to a state of stillness. The techniques also help to calm "monkey mind," when your thoughts continuously interrupt your meditation. And what a great way to celebrate it with a meditation focus each week of the month where you're

1:18.6

focusing on qualities that are going to bring you a lot of peace this season instead of rushing around and getting caught up and

1:32.5

all the different dramas that can be happening this time of the year as well as just the

typical rush and commercialized sensations that this season often carries with it.

And in yoga and meditation it's believed that there are subtle energies that

2:53.6

run up and down your spine that help you to focus and when you sit up straight you feel

3:03.6

right away physiologically you feel as though you're more focused. As soon as you slump over,

3:13.7

you can start to feel more lethargic and you want to be nice and alert as you meditate.
