Summary

Be guided in a Thanksgiving Meditation to experience compassion for others and for yourself, even those who may harm you. This week's theme is Gratitude and every day this week we are focusing on a meditation technique to share more gratitude. . Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions to cultivate. I challenge you to a week long Gratitude Challenge this week. Every day this week do a random act of kindness to show gratitude to someone or some group of people. This is part 5 of a 7-Part Meditations for Patience, Episodes 534-540. And that's what you do when you meditate. And in today's guided meditation,

0:24.6

you are going to be guided in a chakra meditation. Now you don't have to do the technique I'll be

0:32.3

sharing with you. You can simply relax and be guided through the meditation without doing the technique. You're going

0:39.9

to receive the same benefits. But I like to offer you options because I love to share techniques

0:49.4

because they can be done throughout your day. And sometimes that's when you most need the benefits of

0:59.0

meditation is when you're right smack in the middle of your busy day and so I like to

1:06.5

offer a technique with you also the techniques are wonderful at helping you refocus your mind

1:14.5

when you meditate. A wandering mind is such a big challenge for all meditators, even long-time

1:22.1

meditators. And so when you have a meditation technique to focus on, when your mind starts to wander as you're going deep into the stillness of your meditation, you can bring it back to a meditation technique and refocus.

1:37.3

So if you live in the United States, as I do, I want to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. And I was thrilled that today's

1:49.4

meditation every Thursday, today's a Thursday, every single Thursday, I share a chakra.

1:58.0

So I was pretty excited that we are doing a gratitude meditation series in honor of

2:04.8

Thanksgiving and so this whole week we've been doing a meditation challenge and I was

2:13.0

thrilled that this is a chakra meditation for Thursday, Thanksgiving, because I want to share a fourth

2:22.3

chakra meditation with you. And the chakras are one of my favorite ways to meditate. So if you're

2:30.6

new to chakras, don't worry at all. You can simply meditate without doing any kind of focusing on a chakra.

2:38.5

But chakras are simply energy centers throughout your body where you can focus on releasing certain emotional tensions.

2:51.6

So just as you have a physical spine and different organs to represent all the different physical capabilities of your body,

3:01.6

the ancient yogi's thought, you know, there must be some kind of system we have within us that we may not be able to see

3:09.3

it, but it's some kind of system where our emotions are filtered.

3:15.3
