Summary

Joe kicks off this week's show by sharing a life lesson (which was inspired by a recent interaction he had at a local pharmacy). After "storytime" is over, he reads an iTunes review, gives away some free stuff and introduces today's sponsor. He then answers 4 listener questions. Specific topics include: 1) What do you currently consider to be the most humbling exercise? 2) What are your thoughts on the sled push technique popularized by HYROX, ie, full forearm/biceps contact on the poles? 3) What is the best alternative to running sprints (when you're rehabbing a sprained ankle)? 4) The most convenient & safest way to decompress your lumbar spine post-workout. *For a full list of Show Notes + Timestamps goto www.IndustrialStrengthShow.com.

Hey guys, welcome to episode number 535 of the Industrial Strength Show.

0:04.6

I appreciate you all joining me here again for what will hopefully be another infotainment-packed show.

0:14.3

On today's show, I have three, potentially four questions slash topics that we will be getting to, we'll see if I get

0:29.3

to all four of them. We'll see where the day takes us. But definitely three topics. Speaking,

0:36.3

actually, before I go any further, speaking of where the day takes us, I'm, I wasn't going to share this because it's kind of a nothing story.

0:46.7

But I, I feel compelled to, to share this interaction that I had today.

0:58.8

And I'm not sure why, but I'm just going to share it with you guys.

1:02.8

You know, I know why I want to share it.

1:05.8

Because while I am certainly on a mission to do everything in my power to improve the health and strength of all my listeners and as many people in this world as possible, impact as many people in this world as possible.

1:32.1

I not only want to improve people's health and strength, but I do also have a bit of a passion for kind of normalizing being respectful.

1:49.5

You know, I think that's part of like my my whole shopping cart gimmick and putting the

1:54.3

shopping cart away and saying please and thank you.

1:58.2

Just like you could still be a badass individual and a meathead and go to the

2:03.3

gym and be a tough guy and all this other stuff. But I just feel like it's becoming more and more

2:11.4

rare to find like just respectful people. And so I like to do my part. And I feel like this, I just want to share

2:21.6

this story because it's still, it's stuck in my head because I still can't get over it. And

2:27.7

the story is, I'll try to make it quick because it really is nothing. But again, I want to share it with you guys.

2:34.9

I was at a local pharmacy in the town over from us.

2:40.3

There's a family-owned pharmacy slash convenience store that I've probably been going to since my kids have been born, I would say like 13, 14 years.

2:54.2

On average, I probably stop in this store about one to two times a month.

3:02.3

So not a ton, but I'm there enough that I've gotten to know the gentleman.

3:10.6

There's an older gentleman who sits at the front register.
