Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast. This is Mary Meckley and I'm so honored to have you here spending part of your day or evening meditating. I know that this is a very important ritual that you're creating and I know how much it will mean for you as you go

meditation. As always, I leave a technique. This is a Thursday for a Thursday meditation,

And so you're going to be guided in a meditation focusing on a chakra. And this is a meditation series on overcoming anxiety, especially if you've suffered trauma, whether it's a kind of trauma

from one event that was very profound in your life, or whether it was ongoing, an ongoing buildup of stress, that has caused you to have and experience

symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, which is a very common, more common than many

people realize, can cause you to have trouble

sleeping, to have trouble eating or to overeat to find emotional comfort in food.
