Summary

Why is it that we hold others to higher standards than those to which we hold ourselves?

Why is it unacceptable for others to break promises to us but we let ourselves off the hook for it every day?

Is it not a little hypocritical to demand change from others before demanding it of ourselves?

Today's episode is short and powerful. I hope you'll take a listen and then take action.

Through education, motivation, and implementation, we will bridge the gap between knowing and

Hello everybody and welcome back to the Primal Potential podcast.

I am Elizabeth Benton and I want to start off not with the topic of today's episode,

0:36.4

but addressing a question that I get every single day on email and on Instagram.

0:43.4

And that is what I eat when I eat it, how much I eat.

0:50.0

And for those of you that have been around for a while, I used to post what I ate every single day

Well, I'll just eat what Elizabeth eats and then I will experience what Elizabeth experiences.

1:13.2

And guys, that's just not true, right? What I eat and what you eat needs to be based on

1:28.3

your activity level, and your baseline. For me 100 plus pounds ago, I could eat a lot more and

1:40.4

indulge a lot more frequently and still see results compared to the way I eat now, just because of

1:47.2

how long I've been doing this and what my body is used to. And also, I've put a lot of practice

1:54.0

and a lot of effort and a lot of consistency and a lot of time and a lot of troubleshooting

1:59.3

into the way I eat. So the other thing that was happening is some people were looking at what I eat

2:03.9

and saying, well, I couldn't eat that much or I couldn't eat that little or I couldn't indulge

2:11.8

as infrequently as you do. I really need to have more liberty for the occasional piece of chocolate

2:18.1

or a glass of wine, whatever that is. And just because I don't choose to eat that way doesn't mean
