Summary
In today's episode I'm talking with one of my current Fat Loss Fast Track clients. For the first weeks, she was struggling to see results. But, in the two weeks prior to our chat, she had lost 5 pounds.
I asked her what changed. She said, "I started really paying attention to my hunger."
Guys, hunger is so major.
Sometimes, as was the case for this client, when we're eating healthy or fat loss friendly foods, we feel entitled to results. We get emotional about it.
"I'm eating healthy! Why isn't the scale moving!"
Because you're giving your body fuel when it doesn't need it.
Sure, when you feel like snacking you're choosing veggies and hummus instead of chips & dip but the reality is this: you're giving your body more fuel than it needs.
Extra fuel, regardless of the type, gets stored. There's no emotion about it. You don't "deserve" results.
Today we'll chat about understanding hunger, the common sense approach to knowing when you need more fuel and snacks that don't work.

| 1:20.0 | And I said, all right. So if you're telling me you didn't see much progress at first, looking at your journal, did you feel like you should have been making progress? |

| 1:33.0 | And then I said, all right. So looking at your journal again, what changed? |
| 1:38.0 | What did you do differently in the past couple of weeks when you were seeing those results? |
| 1:44.0 | Then what you were doing in the weeks before when you weren't seeing results. And she said, well, I think the biggest change is that in the last two weeks, I've really only been eating when I was hungry. |
| 1:56.0 | So in the first weeks, she said she was trusting the process. However, a big part of the process is really tuning into hunger. |
| 2:05.0 | So she felt like, and so many of us feel this way. I know I've felt this way before because she was eating fat loss friendly foods, eating clean, eating well, staying away from sugars and processed foods that she should have seen weight loss. |
| 2:18.0 | But as we started to talk about it, she said, I guess I really kind of knew in the back of my head that turning to even a fat loss friendly food just because I wanted a snack. |
| 2:28.0 | I wanted something to eat, even when I wasn't hungry, I kind of knew that wasn't issue. But I felt like because it was clean, because it was fat loss friendly, because it was quote unquote healthy, that it really wouldn't hurt. |
