episode 37. My next guest is Brendan Riding. He graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science focusing on human nutrition and dietics.

While attaining his degree, Brendan won the 2007 W-A-B-D-L World Powerlifting Championship

and the 2008 and 2009 W-A-B-B-D-L National Collegiate Championships.

Currently, he holds the Illinois Bench Press record and

But that's not the most impressive part about Brendan.

Brendan went on to attain his corrective exercise specialty from the National Academy of

Sports Medicine and he began to expand beyond fitness to include the

organization named PLAT a school in Haiti. He invented a posture PT back support with over 500% funding on Kickstarter and recently he partnered with the Make in India Initiative to develop and implement advanced wound care to underprivileged populations.

Brendan's focus for many years has been helping people attain better posture.

Now, posture might not seem like something really important but since it is the mechanism in which all of our nervous system comes out of if you think of the spine

and if you think of when we hold ourselves when we're at desks many hours a day are

driving or the repetitive motions that we do throughout work or if we're

studying reading playing on our cell phones these held postures for many hours every

day that we do this end up shortening certain muscles

elongating others and weakening other muscles which lead to chronic pain.

In his experience working with people and helping them to recover their health naturally,

he's able to help correct people who had to go for surgery and did, after with him no longer needed surgery because the pain

went away. So what Brendan does is he helps people to correct their posture, to correct their muscle balance and he gives them specific exercises to do
