This is a way for you to launch into a brand new year,

0:19.0

or you can do this meditation as you begin any journey. I recommend you gather around you four candles,

0:29.6

maybe votive candles, something that is fire safe, and you might even have a picture of water in case

0:39.1

0:52.0

with you or you could have two strips of paper.

0:57.0

Now you don't necessarily need candles if maybe you're somewhere where it's just not a good idea to have candles, but have something

outdoors wherever you are. And so we begin this New Year's Day celebration.

2:14.8

To start, I encourage you to stand up.

2:21.5

And as you stand up I encourage you to ground your feet. This means to

2:30.1

press your feet firmly into the ground wherever you're standing.

2:34.8

They say the hardest pose in yoga is standing on your own two feet,

2:41.2
