This is the outlaw John Roca here excited to be diving into this film that I've watched for the first time for this show to talk with my partner Steve Morris and Steve I'm very excited to have a conversation

about this film for a number of good reasons.

And that's one really big bad reason but yes.

Well since you brought it up let's start right, which is the film is Holiday Inn, and frankly, we debated doing this on the show for many years, and each time we debated it, I had seen it, and I said, look, I like this this movie but there is a scene in it that is is almost a movie killer and we wanted to give you a warning that this is coming which is that there's a blackface scene in this film which is just

it stopped me dead in my tracks when I was watching for this and you just texted me when you were

watching it and you had the same experience and it is it's really rough.

Yeah, no matter how much they tell you it's coming, you're not prepared for the black face scene until you see it.

But I'm going to say something here that it's going to preview our conversation and I will say this.

This is not Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's Bad.

This is something else and it's and I'm looking forward to have the conversation about it.

Because obviously all blackface, not good, but I think this one, we can talk about it with a little more

nuance once we get to that section of the movie for sure but yes Steve is very

correct to put a warning out for any of you who are offended by that or who have
