You're soft, you're sloppy, you're unruly, you're undiscipline.

And I never saw anything look so wonderful in my whole life. And

0:15.0

happy holidays and welcome to the very first double feature,

0:22.0

holiday double feature on the cinnophiles my name is Steve Morris I'm a filmmaker and directing instructor in Los Angeles California

0:27.8

Hello everyone happy holidays and Merry Christmas this is the outlaw John Roca ride a producer and host and voiceover artist here on the Cinephiles and Steve I'm really excited that we're diving into this film. This is one that is a curiously longer remake of the film we just discussed, but with some interesting

0:46.2

things for us to discuss and certainly one of our favorite characters ever in a Christmas movie or

0:52.1

holiday movie and I think it's going to be fun for the

0:54.8

fans to hear our conversation about that as well and all of it here on this particular

0:59.5

episode.

1:00.5

Well it's funny when you texted me and said how much you love that character, I was so happy because obviously we're on the same page about that and those of you who know the film probably can take a guess of who we're talking about.

1:10.0

But it's, so you brought up that this is kind of a remake and I want to share.

1:14.3

Yeah, please.

1:15.3

You know, we always talk about how we first came to the film and I said that I'd seen holiday

1:18.9

in many, many times and I'd seen White Christmas a few times as a kid and I had you know you know I love the brain and the science of memory and I had what was clearly a false memory and I had even talked to you about it which is that I I said, because in my mind, like I knew that they were connected.

1:36.0

I knew they both had White Christmas. I knew they had Toussoms. Danny Kaye would have replaced Fred Astaire.

1:41.0

And I remembered certain scenes from White Christmas but somehow in my

1:45.2

brain I had gotten it fixed that it had the same structure of different shows for

1:49.3

different holidays which it 100% does not and I talked to you about it. Of course you hadn't seen Holiday Inn so you didn't know that I was crazy. And so I was talking about this idea of going breaking both movies apart and going sequence by sequence in each film

2:06.0

back and forth because they shared the same structure until I started watching

2:09.7

my Christmas and realized they don't share remotely the same structure.

2:13.2

So A, I think it's hilarious that I just had a, constructed a completely false memory about

2:17.7

this film.
